What will happen if the Earth turns faster?

First of all, do you know how fast Earth is currently rotating? It actually depends on where you live, because the Earth is spinning faster at the middle waist. When the Earth rotates around its axis, the circumference of the equator is the largest. So a point on the equator must travel much farther in 24 hours to get back to the starting point. Try comparing it to Chicago, which is located in a shorter position on the Earth's axis. The equator turns at a speed of 1,037 miles per hour to compensate for the extra road travel, while Chicago goes slower at 750 miles per hour.

If the Earth's rotation speed increased by 1 mile per hour, then the sea level around the equator would increase by several inches because the water flows farther away from the Earth's poles. Witold Fraczek, an analyst at ESRI, a geographic information software company, said that it takes several years to realize that difference.

The more obvious thing is that some of our satellites will be broken. Geostationary satellites orbit around the Earth at the same speed as the Earth's rotation so that they can always remain in one position. If the Earth spins more than 1 mile per hour, these satellites will no longer be in their positions. As such, satellite and telecommunication facilities, television broadcasting and intelligence activities, the military will be interrupted. Some satellites contain materials that can adjust their position and follow the Earth, but other satellites need to be replaced. And this cost is extremely expensive. Fraczek said: "This can disturb the lives and comfort of some people, but will not become terrible for anyone." 

However, things will be different if the Earth doesn't stop at 1 mile / hour faster, because when the Earth turns faster, things will become more and more disastrous.

The centrifugal force is born when the Earth turns constantly trying to blow you out of the ground, it's like when a child sits in the outermost seat of a wooden horse wheel. Currently, Earth's gravity is stronger and keeps you standing still on the ground. But if the Earth turns faster, the centrifugal force will have more thrust.

The stronger the storm
If the Earth accelerates slowly, the atmosphere will follow and we will not notice the change in the wind flow and the weather patterns. However, the difference in temperature will still be the main factor driving the wind. Extreme weather can get worse, hurricanes will swirl faster because it gets more energy.

In case the Earth does not spin, the wind from the North Pole will blow straight down the equator and vice versa. But because we are spinning, the direction of the wind deflects in the east. This bending of the wind is called the Coriolis effect, a factor that helps the storm form a cyclone movement. So when the Earth turns faster, the wind in the east will blow stronger, causing the cyclone to swell stronger, resulting in more dangerous impacts of the storm.

The world is submerged in water
The increased rotation speed of the equator means that water in the oceans begins to rise. 

With a speed of 1 mile / hour faster, the water around the equator will be a few inches deeper in just a few days. 

With a speed of more than 100 mph, the equator will start to be flooded. The Amazon Basin, north of Australia, together with the equatorial islands will all be submerged. Astronomers calculate the water level will be deeper from about 9 meters to 20 meters.

When the equator turns twice as fast, the Earth will spin faster than 1,000 miles per hour, it is clear that the Earth will now become disastrous. Centrifugal force will pull hundreds of meters of water up on the middle waist of the Earth. Astronomers believe that, except for the highest mountains like Kilimanjaro or the highest peaks of the Andes, all equatorial regions will be submerged in water. Not stopping there, the water in the polar regions with lighter centrifugal forces will flow elsewhere, making the Arctic Ocean much more shallow. At this rate, centrifugal force becomes stronger and easily wins gravity. These areas will have humid air, covered by dense and cloudy dew, which will lead to constant rain, where more and more countries are getting deeper and deeper.

Finally, with a faster rotation speed of 17,000 miles per hour, centrifugal force at the equator will be as strong as gravity. We may have to go through the falling rain, rain drops flying up into the air. At that time, the Earth was spinning 17 times faster now, probably there would not be any survivors in the equator to witness this extraordinary phenomenon. If some poor people survived after most of the Earth's surface water flew back up into the air, they would definitely want to get out of the equator as quickly as possible. That means they will need to move immediately to the extreme or at least in the middle latitudes.

Terrifying earthquake
With extremely fast speeds of about 24,000 miles per hour in the next few thousand years, the Earth's crust will eventually move, spread out to two poles and bulge at the equator. We will have earthquake earthquakes. Tectonic plates will move very fast, tragedy will happen to all creatures on Earth.

The Earth's rotation also changes itself over time. According to the double-split hypothesis, about 4.4 billion years ago, the Moon was formed after a force was applied to the Earth. Astronomer Odenwald calculates that our planet was previously capable of carrying the shape of a flattened ball. It spins at a speed so fast that only one hour lasts each day. It was this collision that changed the shape of the Earth and fragmented the Earth completely. Will this event happen again? We'd best pray it doesn't happen again!

Since the Moon was formed, the Earth has turned 3.8 miles per hour every 10 million years, mainly due to the attraction between the Moon and the Earth. So it is likely that the Earth will continue to slow down in the future, not quickly.

In general, there is no reasonable reason that the Earth will accelerate abnormally. In order to spin faster, it must be hit by the right object, then the earth's crust will melt and whatever way we will die.
